Farm Aid Revs Up
Farm Aid is ready to kick out the jams and, um, polkas.
With the annual daylong music fest turning 21, founders Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp unveiled an eclectic lineup for this year's show, ranging from the usual roots rock, folk and country, to reggae and, yes, even polka.
The festival, which raises money for ailing family farms, will take place Sept. 30 at the Tweeter Center in Camden, New Jersey.
Nelson, Young and Mellencamp are scheduled to grace the stage along reggae stars Steel Pulse, polka king Jimmy Sturr and his orchestra, and New Jersey native and pedal-steel guitar virtuoso Robert Randolph & the Family Band.
